Infinity Direct was recently recognized by the Midwest Direct Marketing Association for outstanding creative work that generated outstanding results. The annual ARC (Art-Response-Copy) awards are designed to recognize creative solutions to specific marketing challenges using the discipline of direct response marketing.

Infinity Direct won four awards: Best of Show and Gold B2B Integrated Multimedia Campaign for “Dr. Garmont Magical Marketing Campaign,” Gold Direct Mail/Sales for “Star Tribune WOW! Subscription Acquisition Campaign, and Silver B2C Integrated Multimedia Campaign for “Polaris RANGER® Diesel Awareness Campaign.”

When Infinity Direct set out to create a self-promotion campaign, Creative Director Scott Kennedy was up to the challenge. “When you’re a direct marketing agency and you want some new business, you don’t launch an advertising campaign or a bunch of 30-second radio spots to get the attention of busy CMOs and marketing managers. We just couldn’t bring ourselves to do what everyone else is doing, so we did something different: We created a character that we believe is a true marketing genius.”

Infinity Direct introduced the mysterious Dr. Garmont with a direct mail piece designed to look like a doctor’s bag, which centered on common marketing maladies and directed recipients to a Dr. Garmont website to find out how their ailments could be cured. The campaign consisted of direct mail, website, game, movie, and triggered email.

With the challenge to acquire new print subscribers and advertising revenue, the need for effective and impactful marketing was never more important than in the new partnership between Infinity Direct and the Star Tribune. Using their expertise in direct mail strategy and design, Infinity Direct created a winning combination that along with the leadership of the Star Tribune circulation department produced a long-term campaign that consistently outperformed expectations within our own market and in the newspaper industry as a whole.

To increase awareness and sales among farmers and ranchers of the newly launched RANGER® Diesel line of all terrain vehicles, Polaris turned to their direct marketing agency Infinity Direct. Abby Kiefer of Polaris Industries comments, “From the start of the RANGER® Diesel campaign, Infinity Direct impressed me with quick turnaround and knowledge of our customers. We had a goal to go after a targeted segment of customers, and Infinity Direct assisted in purchasing an accurate list, developing relevant creative, and executing a successful direct marketing campaign. Our goals for the campaign were far exceeded, and we’re excited to continue working with Infinity Direct in the future.”
